  breaking in to kingdom halls and disturbing peaceful meetings is hardly the way to go when it comes to positive activism .nevertheless these incidents seem to become more frequent recently as the watchtower vehemently refuses to engage in a meaningful way with the problems of policy and doctrine that seem to trouble many jehovahs witnesses .that, coupled with the ever extending ex- jehovahs witnesses community and their harsh disfellowshiping practises is creating a new era where disturbances of that short will only become more frequent.

  i try ... i really try to watch football (soccer) ... it's world cup time ... i really do try.. i just don't get it ... i really don't.. yes, it's a world-wide sport.

  in most countries it is the number 1 or number 2 sport ... no doubt about it.

  it's maybe number 5 in the usa for professional sports.. from an american's perspective (i think i speak for many), we just wonder if these guys actually have testicles.

  It's a controversial issue, if you don't like it, dont read these threads. I don't get your point, what business of whose? They wanted a wedding cake, what is wrong with that? They have been open about the fact that they are making a point, I don't see anything wrong with that. It's an important issue. If you are saying it's none of my business, well then, what business is it of yours that I choose to comment on it?

  lisa rose, get off your ridiculous high horse. You inadvertently answered my question by saying they were making a point. Smacks of a pre defined compo claim too. The couple in question are as stirring and trouble making as the op.

  2things spring out at me from this thread:

  Firstly, the OP is a bit of a stirrer. Why phone the person in question up and then make plans to go to her shop? What business is it of yours?

  Secondly, Mr Home is being rounded on. It appears some are offended by his comments, maybe you are gay and have suffered prejudice, also maybe some just enjoy running with the pack. I wonder sometimes if all the "outraged" people even remember what they are being outraged about.

  h'mmm, it is almost 11:00 am on a wednesday.

  i wonder if it is a jw.. to the best of my knowledge the following happened, but i did get a little excited during our intial conversation and what transpired later so i may not be recounting the facts correctly.. i went downstairs with my trusty sharpie in my pocket to answer the door.

  at the door there was an older (~75 year-old) man in a suit and appeared to be in good health.
